Bunadskisten

Bunadskisten is a costume chest for people who own a Norwegian bunad. It helps you track the parts of your bunad, your silver, your care guides, your occasions and your measurements. This policy explains, in full, what the app does and does not do with your information.
Bunadskisten has no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. Everything you enter stays on your device. We do not collect, see, sell or share any of it, because we never receive it in the first place.
Everything you add — your bunads and their parts, silver records and photos, care notes, occasion records and photos, measurements and alteration history, and your settings — is written only to your device's local storage, inside the app's own private container. None of it is transmitted anywhere. It is included in your device's normal encrypted backup (iCloud or Finder/iTunes) the same way any other app's data is, because Apple's operating system handles that, not Bunadskisten.
Bunadskisten asks for camera access so you can photograph your silver pieces (front and back) and occasions directly from within the app, and for photo library access so you can choose existing photos with Apple's system picker. Photos you select or capture are copied into the app's own storage and are never uploaded. The system photo picker only gives the app the specific images you choose — it cannot see the rest of your library.
Bunadskisten can remind you to run a readiness check before an occasion, to log a wearing afterwards, or to air your bunad's wool parts in spring and autumn. These are local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely on your device by iOS. No notification content or schedule is sent to us or to anyone else. Notification permission is requested only when you turn a reminder on.
The silver record can be exported as a PDF or as plain text, for example for a home insurance claim. That file is generated on your device and only leaves it if you actively choose to share, print or save it through the system share sheet. We have no visibility into that action.

Bunadskisten is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect information at all.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a new "last updated" date.
